Google SGE Now Available in Indonesia and Other Countries

Google has declared the expansion of Search Labs and Search Generative Experiments (SGE) to more than 120 new countries and regions worldwide, starting from November 8, 2023. Discover what can be done with Google SGE here.

 

Expansion of Google SGE's Regional Reach and Languages

This expansion includes areas such as Mexico, Brazil, South Korea, Indonesia, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, bringing this advanced technology to a broader global audience.

In addition to expanding its geographical reach, Google has made SGE accessible to users in four additional languages. This development allows users who speak Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, and Indonesian to interact with SGE using their preferred language.

For example, Indonesian speakers in the United States can now harness the power of AI in their native language while using Search.

 

Search Labs: A Platform for Early Experiments

Google introduced Search Labs as a new platform where users can participate in early-stage experiments. This feature is available through the Google app on Android and iOS devices, as well as the desktop Chrome version.

What's New in Search Labs and SGE?

1. Simpler Follow Up Queries

Google is testing simpler ways for users to ask advanced questions, making interactions with Search more intuitive.

Users can obtain more contextual information in translations, enhancing the accuracy and relevance of language support. Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to try this feature through Google SGE.

 

3. Definitions for Coding and Health Information

Search Labs now also provides definitions for programming-related questions and health information. This is useful to ensure users can find the information they need more easily.

However, as of the publication of this article, we still cannot test this feature in the Indonesian region. Typically, it takes time to roll out all features to new country ranges.
